Rustic charm pairs well with a love story
Personal touches in details, hometown-inspired cocktails, and celebrations for the happy couple
Climbing mountains and exploring the Denver food scene have become the newest hobbies for Michaella and Drew, since moving from the Midwest. Of course they could write books with their stories from growing up and their hometowns, but they have definitely embraced the lifestyle of Colorado!
They enjoy the great outdoors and being so close to the city, so Denver made for a new place to move as they start a new chapter of life together. Drew and Michaella both are adventurous, funny, emo-kids-at-heart who share so much history together. They wanted their wedding day to be filled with the people that helped create the stories they love to share and tokens from those memories, like family photos and heirlooms shared. This passion created a beautiful wedding day filled with intentional detail!
Drew and Michaella were referred over from my friends at Dream Catcher Weddings, who provide full-service wedding coordination and planning. They were looking for a photographer who could thoughtfully document their wedding day, and decided to book my services. They are the kindest souls who shared their story, read the post on their engagement at Twin Lakes, Colorado, and I'm grateful that the stars aligned and our paths crossed!
Even though living in Denver has it perks, M & D wanted a venue that felt like it was tucked away in its own slice of Colorado beauty but still be within reason of amenities. Venetucci Farm is a wedding venue located in Colorado Springs placed with stunning views of Pikes Peak and the front range. Accommodations are easily located nearby as the venue is just a short drive from downtown Colorado Springs.
The sunny afternoon outdoor ceremony was a beautiful moment for the newlyweds to share their union with their favorite people, while also honoring the beauty of the nature. The couple opted for an intimate first look prior to the ceremony so that they could share a private moment and relax together. They both wanted to be surprised to see each other at the altar, so they wanted to keep the contact to a hand embrace and some words of love and newlywed-encouragement.
I’m always grateful for clients who lend their trust and time in exchange for beautiful photos that document their day in an authentic style. This makes my job as a photographer a breeze, and the energy of my couples bring to the table is just an added bonus!
Enjoy some of the moments from their special day! The beautiful details couldn’t have been made possible without the help of some of these amazing vendors.
